On Sunday, Nov. 3 it is time to turn your clocks back one hour starting at 2 a.m.

This marks the end of daylight savings time. Daylight savings is where time is adjusted to better coordinate with where the Sun is above the Earth. It is meant to allow more time when people are active, beginning an hour later in the morning and lasting an hour longer in the evening.

For more information on daylight savings, visit the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s website.
