Families from Buckley, Bonney Lake, Sumner and throughout Pierce County are invited to a free program, “Children Explore a Pizza Herb Garden,” sponsored by Pierce County Master Gardeners.

The event begins at 1 p.m. June 4 at the Pierce County Master Gardeners’ Jack and the Beanstalk Garden at 2607 Pioneer in Puyallup (intersection of Fruitland Avenue and Pioneer).

Guests will visit a pizza-shaped garden, see pizza herbs growing and learn about herbs and tomatoes that can be planted to use in homemade pizzas. All materials are provided.
