Midtown Grill will host fundraiser auction to send Bonney Lake FCCLA to national competition

Eight students from Bonney Lake High School's chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America have earned State Championships, qualifying them for the National FCCLA Competition in Orlando, Fla.

Eight students from Bonney Lake High School’s chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America have earned State Championships, qualifying them for the National FCCLA Competition in Orlando, Fla.

But the charity service project club needs to fundraise to make it cross-country.

Midtown Grill is hosting a benefit dinner and auction with 100 percent of the funds raised to support the nationally bound team.  Tickets are $30 when purchased in advance and may be purchased from the Bonney Lake High School bookkeeper.

The Bonney Lake High School state championship Culinary Arts Team, culinary arts teacher Kahale Ahina and the chef at Midtown Grill will prepare a variety of three-course meals.

Servers include FCCLA state champions and the Washington state family and consumer sciences teacher of the year and FCCLA adviser Tricia Littleflied.

Bonney Lake High FCCLA members have donated thousands of service hours in the Bonney Lake community, including coordinating blood drives, volunteering at local child care centers, helping fulfill the schools’ Winter Wishes, and supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Share our Strength, No Hungry Kids program.

FCCLA is a nonprofit career and technical student organization for young men and women in family and consumer science education.

Midtown Grill is located at 20609 state Route 410 E. in Bonney Lake.
