Missing 4-year-old from Chehalis found safe in Bonney Lake

A 4-year-old Chehalis boy that was the subject of an Amber Alert earlier today was found safe in Bonney Lake this afternoon.

According to Bonney Lake Police officer Terry Carter, Bonney Lake Police were advised this morning of the boy, Jacek Reed, and his father, Dustin Reed, were in the city, specifically in the area near Fred Meyer.

Chehalis police tracked the Reeds through a “ping” on Dustin Reed’s cellphone.

Bonney Lake police were dispatched to the area and found the car containing the boy and his father in the area between the Fred Meyer and the Safeway lots.

Dustin Reed was taken into custody without incident. he was released to the custody of the Chehalis police.

Staff from East Pierce Fire and Rescue check Jacek Reed, who was healthy and unharmed.

Carter said the Jacek was at the Bonney Lake Police Station as of Tuesday afternoon though the boy’s mother was en route to pick up the boy.
