New Years’s suspended license and DUI | Buckley Police

Buckley officers were patrolling state Route 410 the evening of Jan. 1 when they checked a vehicle registration and found the female owner was in possession of a suspended license.

OUTSIDE WARRANT: On Jan. 4, Buckley officers contacted a Tacoma man at a Park Avenue address. He was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the police department in Des Moines, Wash. He was arrested and transported to Auburn, where custody was exchanged.

TOO CLOSE: Officers responded at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 2 to an automobile accident on state Route 410. It was determined an 18-year-old Buckley woman rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old from Bonney Lake. There were no injuries and both vehicles could be driven from the scene. The Buckley woman was cited for following too close and a Washington State Patrol collision report was completed.

ARREST WARRANT: An officer on patrol at 12:25 a.m. Jan. 1 spotted a speeding vehicle. It was determined the female driver was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant; she was booked into jail.

DRUNK DRIVER: Buckley officers were patrolling state Route 410 the evening of Jan. 1 when they checked a vehicle registration and found the female owner was in possession of a suspended license. She was stopped and later arrested for driving under the influence, as well as driving with the suspended license. Her vehicle was impounded.
