Pierce County Library System unveiled two new library cards, designed by students from the area. The winning designs were determined by an online vote and will be available in October at no charge.

The card designers are Megan Cannon, an 11-year-old Fruitland Elementary student and Katie Howard, a 17-year-old student at Steilacoom High School. The artists names will appear on the printed cards, alongside their artwork.
