ANIMAL ABUSE: At 7:13 p.m. June 6, a North Cascade Street resident contacted police to report her belief that her two cats had been shot multiple times with a BB gun. She said she had no idea who would want to shoot her cats. Both cats only travel a few blocks from her residence when they wander. An officer took photos of the animals’ injuries to place in a case file.

STOLEN GOODS TRAFFICKING: On June 1, a 20-year-old Carbonado woman reported the theft of some jewelry. Officers were able to locate one item that had been pawned by a known 23-year-old Buckley man. The victim was able to identify the jewelry from photographs, and the case was forwarded to the Pierce County Prosecutor. The man is in custody on four related cases.

SUSPENDED: At 2:56 p.m. July 13, a vehicle was stopped for tailgating on state Route 410 near Chamberlain Street. A check of the man’s record revealed a third-degree suspension of his license. He was arrested and later released with a criminal citation and notice of infraction.

NUDITY: At 6:10 p.m. July 13, an officer was dispatched to a nude female standing on Ryan Road. On arrival, the officer detained the woman in wrist restraints and emergency medical services transported her home.

NO INSURANCE: On July 14, an officer on patrol on Ryan Road ran a routine check on a car’s license plate. The check showed the registered owner had her license suspended in the third degree. The driver matched the description of the owner. She was unable to provide proof of insurance, and was issued a Notice of Infraction for such. She was additionally cited for the suspension. She was allowed to move the vehicle to a parking lot to clear the roadway.

DUI: At 11:13 p.m. July 14, an officer on Naches Street stopped a vehicle that sped past his car with the headlights off. The 29-year-old man driving the car performed voluntary tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. His vehicle was impounded and he was booked into jail.

BURGLARY: On July 16, a 2nd Street resident reported an unknown person had entered an open air shed and stolen several items. The reporting person was unable to provide serial numbers for the items and no witnesses or suspects were available.

ID THEFT: At 7:36 p.m. July 3, a woman reported someone had used her personal information to purchase a cell phone and open an additional cell phone line on her account. She advised she is the only one authorized to change her account, and she believed her ex-roommate had committed the crime.
