Pierce County I-5 lane and ramp closures scheduled for pavement repairs

Multiple lane and ramp closures will occur on northbound Interstate 5 over two nights next week for asphalt and guardrail repairs. Crews will also use the opportunity to repair impact attenuators and work on drainage facilities.

Multiple lane and ramp closures will occur on northbound Interstate 5 over two nights next week for asphalt and guardrail repairs. Crews will also use the opportunity to repair impact attenuators and work on drainage facilities.

At 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, crews will close three northbound I-5 lanes across the Puyallup River Bridge, reducing northbound I-5 to one lane. At the same time, they will close the Bay Street on-ramp to northbound I-5, and the northbound I-5 exit to Bay Street. Signed detours for ramp traffic will be provided. The lanes and ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8.

Then from 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, crews will close two northbound I-5 lanes in the same vicinity for continued repairs.
