The Puyallup Main Street Association and Meeker Days Festival are inviting artists within a 50-mile radius of Puyallup to submit entries to the 2009 Meeker Days Festival poster competition. The entry deadline is 5 p.m. Dec. 29.

Meeker Days will be celebrating its 70th anniversary and will incorporate a Wizard of Oz theme to commemorate the 1939 release of the classic family film. The winning entry will become the festival’s visual icon; the artist will receive a $300 cash prize.
