RECKLESS: Police responded the afternoon of June 7 to a local hotel, assisting the fire department after hearing of smoke coming from a room. Contact was made with a resident who was cited and released for reckless endangerment.

NO CHARGES: Police responded June 6 to a Roosevelt Avenue address after taking a report of an assault and a theft. All parties were contacted and the victim was unwilling to assist with an investigation. Police spoke with witnesses and a suspect; no charges were filed.

JUNE 5: A fraud/forgery report was received, along with calls for a verbal domestic dispute at Spruce and Main streets and an animal complaint from a Rose Place location.

JUNE 4: Police dealt with an impaired driver, a theft report from a Main Street site and a noninjury auto accident at a highway location. Also, it was a busy day on local roads, with officers making 17 traffic stops.
