The summer concert season is in full swing, with weekly shows already under way in Bonney Lake and Sumner and about to begin in Buckley. Here's a look at what's on tap the next couple of months. All concerts are outdoors and all are free.

BONNEY LAKE

Tunes @ Tapps draws large crowds to Allan Yorke Park on the shores of Lake Tapps. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 31. Musical acts take the stage, guests fill the lawn and vendors circle the crowd.

• July 27 – Heart by Heart plays favorites from the Hall of Fame group Heart, featuring two original members of the Seattle-born band.

• Aug. 3 – Rust on the Rails boasts a unique combination of Northwest roots and Aussie influence – that explains the appearance of a didgeridoo along with guitars, bass and drums.

• Aug. 10 – iCorp Band

• Aug. 17 – The Beatniks play the lakeside stage every year and draw one of the season’s biggest crowds.

• Aug. 24 – Maile Mae brings some country flavor to the stage.

• Aug. 31 – The Great Pretenders are a longtime favorite throughout the Northwest, playing classics from decades past.

BUCKLEY

Concerts begin at 6 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 25 on the south side of the Buckley Youth Center along state Route 410.

• July 21 – The Mark Mauldin Band offers a mix of country, rock, blues and jazz, playing both standards and original tunes.

• July 28 – The Maile Mae Band provides country fare, having opened in recent years for a handful of Nashville recording artists.

• Aug. 4 – Favorite Mistake will offer an eclectic mix of classic rock, blues and cover songs.

• Aug. 11 – The Pan Leggo Steelband has been around since 1994, formed by members of the Oberlin Steel Orchestra.

At the concert site, Post 1414 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will have a booth, collecting food that will be donated to the Buckley Food Bank.

• Aug. 18 – Eric Ode, a national award-winning singer/songwriter is a kid-friendly favorite.

• Aug. 25 – The season closes with Coco Loco, a high-energy band featuring arrangements of classics from Cuba, Brazil, Columbia and Mexico, while sometimes mixing in a bit of British or American pop.

SUMNER

The popular “Music Off Main” concert series features 6:30 p.m. shows each Friday in July at Heritage Park in downtown. All are free events.

• July 22 – Folsom Prism provides a modern look and tribute to the Man in Black, Johnny Cash.

• July 29 – Colt and The Peacemakers features Sumner songwriter and musician Andy Shofner and band, who promote their show as “a modern throwback to good, ol’ outlaw country.”
