Toll rates in SR 520 bridge, Tacoma Narrows increase July 1 | Department of Transportation

In May 2015, the Washington State Transportation Commission increased tolls on the SR 520 that will go into effect on July 1. SR 520 Bridge toll rates will increase approximately 2.5 percent next week.

Peak hour toll rates for Good To Go! customers will go up 10 cents to $3.90, and the peak hour Pay By Mail rate will increase 15 cents to $5.55.

Tolling is on track to raise $1.2 billion of the funding needed to build the replacement bridgecurrently under construction. Toll rates are set by the Washington State Transportation Commission to ensure the bridges generate enough revenue to cover costs required in law including debt service, operations, and maintenance.

Tolls on Tacoma Narrows Bridge will increase on July 1

Also in May, the Washington State Transportation Commission increased tolls on the Tacoma Narrows Bridges that will go into effect on July 1.

Tacoma Narrows Bridge toll rates will go up 50 cents for all toll categories on July 1. The new rates will be $5 with aGood To Go! pass, $6 for cash, and $7 for Pay By Mail.

Toll rates are set by the Washington State Transportation Commission to ensure the bridges generate enough revenue to cover costs required in law including debt service, operations, and maintenance.
