Top honors for Sirius 4-H members

Sirius Dog 4-H Club members Catherine Kirschbaum, Kecia Howard, Marina Graham, Alexis Massey, Clara Hanson, Elise Dunning, Madeline Frazier and Nicole Crain received blue ribbons in Dog Showmanship and qualified for the state fair at the first qualification match of the season April 2.

Sirius Dog 4-H Club members Catherine Kirschbaum, Kecia Howard, Marina Graham, Alexis Massey, Clara Hanson, Elise Dunning, Madeline Frazier and Nicole Crain received blue ribbons in Dog Showmanship and qualified for the state fair at the first qualification match of the season April 2.

The qualification match took place at Argus Ranch in Enumclaw, where more than 50 dog 4-H members from across King County competed to qualify for the state fair.

Sirius club members, who range in age from 7 to 16 years old, have been training with their dogs since October. In addition to working and competing with their dogs, the kids participate in various community service events and prepare public presentations. Frazier, Graham, Howard, Dunning and Kirschbaum also qualified for the state fair with their public presentations during a King County qualifying event in Enumclaw March 24.
