Bonney Lake High School student Ashley Alvarez and Sumner High School student Alexandra Montano are vying for the title of 2010 Daffodil Queen.

There are 20 other Daffodil Princesses from area high schools competing for the title and the Queen will be crowned during a ceremony beginning at 7 p.m. March 12 at Puyallup Foursquare Church.

Tickets for the event are on sale at the door and are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.

The Daffodil Queen and princesses partake in the Daffodil Festival Grand Floral Parade on April 10.

This year’s Daffodil Festival theme is Carousel of Spring.
