Board of Health aims to enact septic tank fee amid council, resident outcry

The King County Board of Health is looking at creating a septic tank fee for all county residents – $23 for rural residents and $40 for urban residents – to cover the cost of various items. Residents said the fee is unfair since they already pay for their septic systems and for maintenance, and the County Council said there needs to be more time to research the fee.
