Carol Parke

Carol Ann Parke, 60, died May 17, 2011, in Renton.

She was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Moscow, Idaho, to Earl and Mae Donner and graduated from Tyee High School in 1970. She met her future husband Mac at a friend’s home in April 1968 and they were married Aug. 24, 1968. She was a florist for a few years and ran a florist shop out of her garage for a time. Later she worked for Sylvan Learning Center for 15 years as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed crafts like tole painting and flower arranging and often sold her creations at craft fairs. For a few years she and her husband enjoyed square dancing. She loved doing things for others and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by husband Mac Parke of Kent; son Nick Parke of Kent; daughter Jessica Morgan and husband Sean of Bonney Lake; sisters Sandie Smith and husband Dennis of Georgia and Snookie Anderson and husband Andy of Woodland, Wash.; brothers Robbie Donner of Spanaway, Wash., and Ted Donner of California; mother Mae Donner of Spanaway; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, brother Mike Donner and sister Earlene Donner.

A funeral service took place Tuesday, May 24, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley with burial at Buckley City Cemetery.
