Enumclaw resident Charles “Chuck” Staats died Jan. 6, 2017.

He was born Jan. 28, 1933, in Kenosha, Wis. He retired from the military after 25 years of service.

He is survived by daughters Deborah (Randy) Anglin of Enumclaw and Pamela Miner of Fife, Wash.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Lee Staats on Jan. 17, 1998.

Burial will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery at a later date.
