Buckley resident Donalda L. Mahlendorf died July 6, 2017, at the age of 101.
She was born April 20, 1916, in Fairfax, South Dakota, to Ira and Charity Billeter. She graduated from Butte High School in 1934 and married Ben Mahlendorf on Oct. 20, 1935, in Anoka, Nebraska. They farmed until 1956, then moved in 1957 to California where she worked in the aerospace industry as a machinist. She was a prolific crocheter and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters Virginia Caldwell of Buckley, Judy (Norm) Reichardt of Loveland, Colorado, and Karen Stillwell of Federal Way, Washington; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1991.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the home of Virginia Caldwell.
Remembrances in her name are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
