Evelyn Wesselius

Enumclaw resident Evelyn Wesselius died March 4, 2014, in Seattle. She was 86.

She was born Aug. 10, 1927, in Ferwoude, Netherlands, to Hendrik and Pietertje Stellingwerf. She loved spending time with her family, including her church family, and interests included reading, solving puzzles, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She was a member of the Dairy Wives and Hillside Community Church.

She is survived by sons Hill Wesselius of Enumclaw, Henry Wesselius of Enumclaw and Richard Wesselius and wife Patty of Spanaway; daughters Patty Ball of Renton and Dorothy Berkshire and husband Ken of Buckley; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Sam Wesselius.

Services took place Saturday, March 8, at Hillside Community Church. Burial was at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park.
