Buckley resident Georgia Ann Hertz died Sept. 16, 2014.

She was born Aug. 3, 1944, in Fabens, Texas, to George and Beatrice (Howard) Allen. She moved to Alaska after her marriage and raised four children. Known in the family as Geoy, she moved to Buckley in 2004. She loved to work in her yard and garden, bowled with her team, attended Red Hats functions, and was involved with her church. She loved to go to movies, was an avid reader and was a talented artist who loved to do crafts.

She is survived by children Erwin Jr., Lisa Novak (Todd) and Mary Ake (Alex); sisters Beatrice “BZ” Wilson (Edward) and Mary Roeser (Tim); and brothers Dr. Thomas Allen (Rita), John Allen (Judy) and William Allen.

She was preceded in death by son Jess and brother Dana Allen.

A memorial service took place Saturday, Sept. 20, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Buckley.
