James “Jimmy” DeBord died from heart disease March 2, 2012, in Tacoma.

He was born March 18, 1959, in Bremerton, Wash., and later lived in Auburn, Enumclaw, Bonney Lake and Tacoma before settling in Lake Bay, Wash. He was an upholsterer for many years. He loved the Seahawks and nice cars and enjoyed visiting casinos and cutting firewood.

He is survived by sisters Linda Geyer of Tacoma, Barbara Soffner of Lake Bay and Tammy Hardy of Tumwater, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles W. DeBord and mother Myrna J. DeBord.

A celebration of life will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at Prairie Ridge Hall in Bonney Lake. This will be a potluck; RSVP to Tammyhardy@comcast.net.
