Jim Martin, 93, of Enumclaw died May 29, 2017.

He was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Robley and Helen Martin. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later owned and operated Lumber Trucking in Seattle. On July 15, 1967, in Reno, Nev., he married Lois May Andrews. He purchased an old tug boat and refurbished it into a house boat in which the couple lived on Lake Union for five years. They later moved to Ballard before settling in Enumclaw and eventually wintering in Yuma, Ariz. He loved to play golf and was a member at the Enumclaw Golf Course.

He is survived by son Larry Fox of Mount Vernon, Wash.; daughters Gay Bural (Gary) of Enumclaw and Connie Brown of Port Angeles, Wash.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois on Aug. 7, 2016.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
