John Allen Teichroew died peacefully July 1, 2019, in his Enumclaw home with his daughters at his side.

He was born May 12, 1936, to the late Herman B. and Stella M. Teichroew. He was raised in Western Washington and remained in the region throughout his life. He enjoyed music and comedy, kept up on current events, explored the mountains, and spent many years on island beaches.

He is survived by daughters Vickey Lynne, Karen Dianne, Elaine Marie, Laurie Kay and Joanne Arlene; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by siblings Marie, Genevieve, Pinky (Florence), June, Annabelle and Harold, and daughter Arlene Kay (twin to Elaine).

There will be an informal memorial in his honor at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Freeland Park on Whidbey Island. All are invited to share a memory on the tribute wall at www.weeksfuneralhomes.com.
