Buckley resident Joseph Currie Sandor, 34, died in the arms of his parents on Aug. 12, 2016.

He was born June 15, 1982, in Tacoma. He attended Charles Wright Academy and Eastern Washington University. He is remembered for his huge heart and tolerant spirit and his refusal to accept intolerance, ignorance or cruelty. He never wavered in his dedication to family, friends, animals and the natural world.

He is survived by parents Martin and Kathleen Sandor, longtime girlfriend Jennifer Oliver and a large extended family.

A celebration of his life is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Enumclaw Expo Center fieldhouse (Pete’s Pool).
