Lewis Nestor Tokin

Lewis Nestor Tokin, 92, of Ocean Shores, Wash., died May 11, 2016, in Bellevue.

He was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Enumclaw to Louis and Bertha Tokin. He served in both the U.S. Navy and Air Force during World War II and worked as a machinist for Boeing for 28 years. He married Ruth Hagashi in 1977 and they retired, moving to Ocean Shores. In his spare time, he was a rock hound who also loved fishing and family gatherings.

He is survived by stepchildren Trudy (Neal) Hayashida, Gary Higashi, Ellen deGroat and Anne (Patrick) Suyama; brother Arthur (Delores) Tokin; sisters-in- law Mable Tamura and Katsu (Dave) Cook; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2011 and brother Al Tokin.

A celebration of life reception will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at Blaine Memorial Methodist Church, 3001 24th Ave. S., in Seattle. He will be buried with military honors at 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park.

Services are by Weeks’ Enumclaw Funeral Home.
