Lisa Amber Elliott Jensen, 36, died March 11, 2012, from sudden complications of a rare illness.
Born March 21, 1975 in Fargo, N.D., she moved with her family to Washington where they finally settled in Wenatchee. She earned a bachelor of arts in psychology from Central Washington University, graduating with honors. She lived in the Ellensburg area for the last 13 years and was nearing the completion of her master’s degree in psychology from Montana State University. She will be remembered as an advocate for all, especially the disabled. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, painting and traveling.
She is survived by husband Jay Jensen; son Pearce Elliott; stepdaughter Olivia Jensen; sister of Claudia Elliott; and parents Ralph and Melody Elliott.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A memorial is planned for 1 p.m. April 13 at First Lutheran Church in Ellensburg. In lieu of flowers, a random act of kindness can be given to someone in need or donations can be made to Autism Speaks, the FISH Food Bank (Ellensburg) or Central Washington Disability Resources.
