Lola Lee Dean

Enumclaw resident Lola Lee Dean, 79, died Sept. 27, 2014, at Valley Medical Center

She was born June 17, 1935, in Twisp, Wash., to Ralph and Alta Gray. She married Fred Stolz June 26, 1953, in Enumclaw. She threw herself into home making and loved gardening. During her lifetime she lived in several homes she designed. On June 19, 1970, she married LaVern Dean. She took in three stepchildren and loved them like her own. Aside from being a career homemaker, she worked at a veterinarian clinic in Enumclaw.

She is survived by son John Stolz (Cindy) of Enumclaw; daughters Kim Benish (John) of Hoquiam, Wash., Jennie McDonald (Kelly) of Tonasket, Wash.; stepchildren Jim Dean (Shauna) of Federal Way, Judy Patterson (Ken) of Renton and Sue Bruhn (Henry) of Enumclaw; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband LaVern Dean on Oct. 15, 1992.

Donations in her honor can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
