M. Margaret Casey

Former Plateau resident M. Margaret Casey died June 5, 2014, in Shelton, Wash.

She was born Dec. 9, 1917, in Vinton Iowa, to John and Margaret Fox. She was raised in Buckley, graduated from Buckley High School and worked in the family business, Fox Bakeryin Buckley. She worked as a librarian in Montesano, Wash., and lived in the Grays Harbor area 35 years. She enjoyed reading, quilting and knitting.

She is survived by husband Carl B. Casey; daughters Judith Parmenter of Alaska, Kay T. Bowen of Tacoma and Molly Rothrock of Shelton; and son Thomas Casey of Matlock, Wash. She was preceded in death by six siblings.

A funeral Mass is planned for noon Tuesday, June 24, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Montesano.
