MaryAnn Gwin

MaryAnn Gwin, 76, died July 9, 2016.

She was born Sept. 1, 1939, in Bellingham, Wash., to Victor and Nellie Daniels. She married Gary Gwin on Sept. 7, 1957, in Bellingham and was an administrative assistant at St. Augustine Episcopal Church on Whidbey Island. Through the years she was heavily involved in her community as a volunteer, working with St. Joseph Catholic Church in Issaquah, Assumption Catholic Church in Bellingham and St. Hubert Catholic Church on Whidbey Island. She loved to camp and travel, once traversing the United States in 13 months. She also spent time in Italy and Greece with family. She was also an avid bowler who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.

She is survived by husband Gary; daughters Cynthia (Philip) Knutson, Teresa (Calvin) Bretz and Sheri Johnson; sons Gary (Ron) Gwin and Thomas (Brandi) Gwin; sisters Rosemary (John) Walsh, Mildred Nelson and Georgean (Steve) Gordon; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Enumclaw, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Anthony Davis officiating. There was a reception at the church. Burial was at Greenacres Memorial Park in Bellingham.
