Phillip W. Hagen, 77, died peacefully on Jan. 10, 2017, in Enumclaw.

Phillip W. Hagen, 77, died peacefully on Jan. 10, 2017, in Enumclaw.

Born in Tacoma, he was a longtime Auburn resident and graduated from Auburn High School in 1957. After serving in the U.S. Navy as a crash firefighter he worked as a firefighter for the Auburn Fire Department, the Canal Zone Locks in Panama and the Boeing Company Fire Department. He enjoyed vintage cars – his 1950 Mercury being a favorite – along with 1950s and ’60s music and traveling. He was able to reconnect with his high school sweetheart, Loretta, and the two were married in 2003.

He is survived by Loretta Argo Hagen; children Phillip A. Hagen and Judith L. (Hagen) Cook; stepchildren Laurie Lawson, Linda Argo, Ed Argo and Adam Argo; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
