Robert Jones was born April 14, 1946, and died April 8, 2019.

He was born in Burlington, Washington, to the late Earl and Norma Jones and was a longtime resident of the Auburn area. He served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist 5 and was honorably discharged in 1971. His career at Tom Matson Dodge for 46 years started as a lot attendant, then parts manager and retired as the service manager. He was an avid fisherman and mariner, loved boating, crabbing, oysters, shrimping and clamming at their property in Brinnon, fishing on Lake Havasu and many lakes in Washington. He was a true auto and boat enthusiast from a young age with cars of all kinds, ATV’s, tractors and trucks. He had a love for farming and all farm animals that started with working on his grandfather’s farm during the summer at age 13. He also loved all sports was definitely a Seahawks’ “12th man.”

He is survived by his wife of 27 years; sister Barbara (Perry) Bell; stepson Matthew Sheythe; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by stepdaughter Tammy Miller.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
