Rose Marie Tokin

Rose Marie Tokin died peacefully Sept. 16, 2014.

She was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Enumclaw to Gulio and Theresa Mariotti. She graduated from Enumclaw High School and married her high school sweetheart, Al Tokin, on Nov. 14, 1942. They had three children together. After her husband’s tour of duty in the Navy, they settled to raise their family in the Seattle area. While raising her children, she began to work for Pacific Mutual Life where she remained employed until her retirement. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother as well as an active member of her church and community. Following retirement, she and her husband returned to Enumclaw where she continued her involvement in both church and community. She enjoyed family, friends and traveling.

She is survived by sons Al Tokin Jr. and wife Kathy Tokin and Bob Tokin and wife Karen Tokin; son-in-law Mike Fox; brother-in-law Arnie Johnson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Art and Delores Tokin; brother-in-law Lewis Tokin; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009 and daughter Mary Ann Fox in 2004.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of her daughter Mary Ann to the Melanoma Research Foundation, 170 Township Line Rd., Bldg. B, Hillsborough, N.J. 08844 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl 17, Chicago, Ill. 60601.

Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. and followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Enumclaw. A lunch reception will take place in the parish hall immediately after Mass. Inurnment will take place at the Enumclaw cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
