Shirley J. Kovash died June 11, 2017, at Canterbury House in Auburn.

She was born April 19, 1930, in Renton, the oldest of six children born to the late John and Julia (Grady) Kovash. The family lived in Hobart and she graduated from Tahoma High School. On Jan. 22, 1049, she married Leonard Kuzaro in Maple Valley; they made their home in Black Diamond and welcomed four children. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and dining out.

She is survived by children Julie North (Dennis), Jimmy Kuzaro (Anne) and Lenny Kuzaro (Lynne), all of Black Diamond, and Vickie Okeson of Enumclaw; siblings Butch Kovash, Sharon Bukosky, Larry Kovash and Betty Mallery, all of Enumclaw; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronny Kovash.

A celebration of her life is planned for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Mt. Villa clubhouse in Enumclaw.
