Sylvia Bernice Danielson Gaspard died May 11, 2019, in Enumclaw, surrounded by family.

She was born Jan. 21, 1926, on a farm in Walhalla, North Dakota. She moved to the Seattle area in 1951 and raised her family. She had a long career working for Boeing from 1953 until her retirement in 1982. After retirement in 1984 she and her husband Larry moved to Alger, Washington, where her longtime hobby and passion for doll-making bloomed along with her passion for gardening and flowers. In 2004 she and her husband moved to Enumclaw to be closer to family.

She is survived by children Allan Williams of Seattle, Sharon Sand of Enumclaw, Nancy Schmidt of Renton, Laurie Pelland of Snohomish, Sandra Briggs of Santee, California, and Chris Gaspard of Seattle; one of her 13 siblings, Betty Mathison of Grand Forks, North Dakota; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Her husband of 47 years, Larry, died in 2009.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O. Box 1502, Tacoma, Washington 98401-9836.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at High Point Village, 1777 Highpoint St., Enumclaw, 98022.
