Family and friends of Thomas Allen Remien, 57, gathered Wednesday, June 22, at Genesis Farm in Enumclaw to celebrate his life.

He died June 19, 2011, at Auburn Regional Medical Center due to complications of a surgery two weeks prior.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years Fran Remien; children Lee, Travis and Corey; father Fred Remien; brothers Don and Bob; sister JoAnn Weiss; and many grandchildren.

His dream was to retire to his cabin in Republic, Wash. That dream will be fulfilled when his ashes are scattered at his favorite overlook, “Buck Highway,” above the cabin overlooking Curlew Lake.
