William (Bill) Dean Eddy, 83, of Buckley died May 26, 2018.

He was born March 30, 1935, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to the late Winfred and Ruth Eddy. He was raised in Wheeling and graduated from high school before being drafted into the Army. He served during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. He moved from Michigan to Bellevue, working for Delta Airlines as a ground crew supervisor, and later moved his family to Buckley.

He took any excuse to be outdoors and with his family. His eldest son inspired him to help special needs people in any way he could, encouraging his family to do the same. He spent many years as a Scoutmaster for a Handicapable Troop, earning certificates and awards that he proudly displayed at home.

He is survived by sons Douglas Eddy, Jeff Eddy (Monica) and Kevin Eddy (Lori); daughter Deedra Clark (Ryan); and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years.

A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley, with a reception following at the family home.
