Enumclaw resident William “Billie” King died May 13, 2017, at the age of 86.

He was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Garden City, Kan., graduated in 1948 from Kim High School in Kim, Colo., and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959, stationed at Paine Field in Everett, Wash. He married Eva Dawn “Evie” Noel on Jan. 19, 1961, in Parkland, Wash. In 1960, he went to work as a brand inspector for the state of Washington, retiring in 1987. In 1966, he moved to Enumclaw. He was a many-time champion of the Northwest Rodeo Association and was a lifetime member of the NPRA and PRCA.

A graveside service took place at 10 a.m. Friday, May 19, at Buckley City Cemetery.

The service was directed by Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley.
