Enumclaw resident Zachary Scott Erwin, 41, died May 27, 2011.

He was born Sept. 8, 1969, in Enumclaw to Gary and Patricia Erwin. In high school he excelled playing the trumpet and was on the golf team. He graduated in 1987 and went on to Central Washington University. After college he returned to Enumclaw and began working at his grandparents’ store, Erwin’s. He coached his son in sports and took his daughter to father-daughter Valentine’s dances. He loved sports, especially baseball and golf.

He is survived by his children Carson and Tatum; mother Patricia Erwin; grandmother Ruth Erwin; brother Jesse Erwin; stepmother Leisa Erwin; stepsister Darami Coulter; and stepbrother Damien Weston.

He was preceded in death by grandfather Jim Erwin and his father Gary Erwin.

A memorial service is planned for 5 p.m. Friday, June 17, at Enumclaw Middle School.
