Cedar River Academy students will present their winter term learning projects to parents, other students and the public during the school's Knowledge Fair beginning at 6:30 p.m. March 29. The Knowledge Fair will take place on the Cedar River campus, 3333 Griffin Ave. in Enumclaw.

“Cedar River Academy applies its Student-Centered Education Model to transfer learning responsibility from teachers to students," Cedar River Academy Admissions Director Anne Gerken said in a press release. "Our students develop subject matter skills and then apply them to projects that interest them.”

Cedar River Academy is a nonsectarian, private elementary and middle school. The stated goal is to teach students how to think at high levels as they analyze information and solve problems in multiple ways. Academy teachers support individual students as they learn to read, write, master mathematics, become fluent in a foreign language and appreciate arts.
