A handful of runners who earned a trip to last year’s Class 3A state cross country meet return to anchor this season’s White River High program.
Just one comes from the girls side of the program, where junior standout Lauren Wate is a two-time state veteran.
Joining her at the head of the pack are Kelly Coyle, Christina Ramous and Jamie Baker.
There’s a bit more depth on the boys side, with Marcus Dickson and Kody Gould leading the way. The Hornet boys qualified an entire team for state a season ago.
Running on that state team with Dickson and Gould were Chris Fisher and Brandon Davis. Marlow is encouraged by a number of underclassmen who are challenging for spots on the seven-man varsity crew.
