The Enumclaw High soccer team split a pair of nonleague contests, falling 3-2 to Capital Thursday, two days after rolling to a 5-0 shutout over Yelm.
The Capital game wasn’t decided until the final minutes, when the visitor’s Alyssa Edenstrom scored her second goal and sent the Hornets to defeat.
Enumclaw had taken an early lead on a goal by Kayla Bunderson, fell behind when Capital scored two quick goals in the first half, then tied the game on a tally by Erin McCrillis.
During the Sept. 14 victory at Yelm, EHS was sparked by the three-goal effort of Juliet Bannerot. Adding scores were Cayla Dahl and Emily Meeks, supporting the shutout goalkeeping of Caitlin Plese.
