The White River High soccer team saw its South Puget Sound League 2A record move to 2-2 last week with a victory over Fife and a loss to Steilacoom.

The win came Thursday night when White River handled the visiting Trojans. Fife hit the scoreboard first, but Cassidy France found the net just before halftime to knot the score. Nicole Partlow added a goal at the 45-minute mark and Ashley Powell provided some breathing room with a goal at 54 minutes.

The Hornets found themselves on the losing end Sept. 21 at Steilacoom, falling to the Sentinels in overtime.

White River took the lead midway through the game on a goal by Kinsey Gandel and the hosts answered in the 66th minute, then won in the OT session.

White River earned one point in the standings because the game was tied at the end of regulation play. Steilacoom earned one point for the regulation tie, plus one for the OT win.
