WRHS BOYS GOLF: Hornets top Steilacoom

With a 67-53 loss to Fife Friday, the White River High boys golf team fell to 4-5 in league play.

With two matches remaining before the regular season finale, the Hornets beat Steilacoom 46-33 Sept. 27 and lost to Franklin Pierce 53-40 Sept. 29.

In the Hornets’ win over Steilacoom, Trever Andersen earned medalist honors with a 42-stroke round. Ryne Petersen finished two strokes behind for nine points. Kohl Kaelin and Zahn Brooks also earned nine points.

With the Cardinals, team medalist honors went to Petersen at 45 for 13 points. Anderson and Trevor Lubking each added eight points.
