Salsbury earns Player of the Year

For the third straight year, Enumclaw High junior Tyler Salsbury was named South Puget Sound League 3A Player of the Year. Salsbury recently won the league tournament with an 8-under par 136 performance.

Colton McClusky joined Salsbury as a first-team, all-league pick.

Hornets Tim Livermore, David Smith, Chase Dolliver and Kurt Kindsvater were second-team selections.

Salsbury, Smith, Kindsvater and Kleist were also named to the first-team, all-academic team. Salsbury and Smith earned perfect 4.0 grade-point averages. Kindsvater’s GPA sits at 3.97 while Kleist has a 3.94.

The Lady Hornets placed three on the first-team, all-league roster – Kelly Sweeney, Janie Francis and Tiffany Wilkening.

Teammates Claire Hinman and Kaylin Podolak were second-team selections.

Wilkening, Madeline Petellin and Hinman were first-team, all-academic picks as well. Wilkening and Petellin for their perfect 4.0 GPA. Hinman earned a 3.98.
