EHS CROSS COUNTRY: Three will race for Enumclaw High

Enumclaw High runners Chandler Weiman, Emily Eilertson and Cory Johnson will represent the Hornet cross country program Saturday at the state Class 3A championships.
The state meet will be at its usual site, Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco. The girls Class 3A race is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. and the boys are slated for 2.
The Hornet trio earned their state berth Saturday at the District III championships at American Lake Golf Course in Lakewood. The top 25 runners in each race, boys and girls, qualified for state.
Weiman was Enumclaw’s top finisher, placing eighth with a time of 19 minutes, 44 seconds. Eilertson earned her state berth by finishing in 20:26, placing 22nd.
On the boys side, Johnson was 21st with a time of 17:03.
