EHS GIRLS WRESTLING: Paterson, Erskine win three each at tourney

Jade Paterson and Logann Erskine picked up three wins apiece during wrestling tournament action Saturday at Franklin Pierce High. The Enumclaw High wrestlers competed with more than 250 others at the round-robin style tournament.

In a close final match with White River’s Kamy Padgett, Paterson earned her final victory with a late-match pin.

Erskine won all three of her matches by fall.

After dropping her first match, Kassandra Renfrow won two.

Danielle Cormier won her opening match 8-4 over Julia Arnold of Elma and then lost her next two.

Sierra Laviers and Chantel Capps each lost three matches.

Carson Seitz, who sat out with a concussion, is expected to return to the Hornet lineup. Coach Jerry Scheidt is also is counting on Samantha Lanting and Toni Moulden being eligible this week as the Hornets travel to Lakes tonight, Wednesday, and Puyallup for tournament action at Rogers.
