Gymnasts get Auburn win

The Enumclaw High gymnastics team took top honors Dec. 15 during a four-team meet at Auburn High School.

The first-year Hornets tallied 166.05 points to lead the way and were followed by Thomas Jefferson with 161.70, the host Trojans with 157.20 and the Rogers Rams with 150.65.

Top scorers for the Hornets were as follows:

Floor exercise: Michelle McKinlay, 9.55; Sarah Lurry and Kelsey Messer, 9.5.

Bars: Olivia Bannerot, 8.6; McKinlay, 7.7; Molly Mattheis, 7.1.

Beam: Messer, 9.3; Nikki Wilson, 9.25; Erica Bonthius, 8.65.

Vault: Mattheis and Bannerot, 8.9; Lurry, 8.2.
