EHS GIRLS WRESTLING: Paterson finishes second

After finishing ninth at Saturday’s Impromptu girls wrestling tournament in Fife, coach Jerry Scheidt said Saturday’s event at Emerald Ridge and Jan. 22 competition’s at Seattle’s Jackson High will help EHS prepare for upcoming tournaments.

Saturday, the Hornets were led by Jade Patterson’s second-place finish. EHS’s Kassandra Renfrow and Sam Lanting each earned a fourth-place finish.

The tournament saw the return of captain Carson Seitz who has been out with an injury.

Chantel Capps and Sierra Laviers wrestled a separate round-robin competition and did well, Scheidt said.
