Enumclaw leads state wrestling; White River fourth

Enumclaw has a nearly nine-point lead over University heading into Saturday's 3A state wrestling finals.

The Hornets will put five wrestlers into Saturday morning's semifinal round. The winners of those matches advance to Saturday night's championship matches.

Tyke Reid, Lucas Somera, Josh Musick, Kario Wallin and Colton Malek advance to the semifinals.

Travis Reano, Hunter File and Marcus Nichols are still in medal contention for the Hornets.

Enumclaw has a slim 66-57.5 lead over University.

In 2A state wrestling action, White River sits in fourth place with Jeff Kisner heading into the semifinal match Saturday morning.

Richard Geddes, Brandon Short, Austin Shirey, Caden Pugmire, Noah Geehan and Dave Meagher will battle in Saturday's medal rounds.

Competition begins at 10 a.m.
