Carel and SPU upset Central

Enumclaw High graduate Riley Carel hit a three-pointer and dished off three assists for No. 8-seeded Seattle Pacific University’s men’s basketball team as the Falcons upset fifth-ranked Central Washington University 76-63 Friday night in the first round of the NCAA Division II basketball tournament on the Wildcat’s home court in Ellensburg.

The Falcons (20-9) advance to the regional semifinal to play No. 4 seed Dixie State (21-6) tonight, Saturday.
